"Family clan of President Vladimir Putin" book released

(VOVworld)- Voice of Vietnam Radio, Friendship Associations of Vietnam and Russia and the Public Security Publishing House have released a book by Aleksandr Putin entitled “Family clan of President V.V. Putin".

The book, translated by 3 Vietnamese translators who have been VOV collaborators for years, features the farmer family past of the Putin family clan as well as Russia’s history over the past 4 centuries.

Director of Voice of Vietnam's Overseas Service, Nguyen Tien Long, spoke at the launching ceremony in Hanoi on Thursday:"We have seen scores of books about President Putin translated into Vietnamese. This is the only book about the President's family clan by one of the family members, Aleksandr Putin, featuring the development of a clan with connections to different stages of Russia’s history and customs. The book is a valuable moral and cultural gift to deepen traditional friendship relations between Vietnam and Russia."

The book was a concise version of a work of research published in Russia in 2013 with copies of family archives and photos. Author Aleksandr Putin says the book reflects developments before Putin became a political activist and Russian President: "Vietnam remains Russia's close and friendly country. I hope the book will improve mutual understanding and cooperation. I hope the book as a gift will further improve bilateral friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Russia."
