Addressing the ceremony, Vu Hai, VOV's Deputy President, said that“the contest aims to promote the Vietnamese nation, land, and people to the world and VOV to foreign listeners around the globe. We’re happy to have received our listeners’ attention evidenced by nearly 300 entries. The previous contest in 2010 generated only about 200 entries.”

Third-prize winner Zhao Ya Dong said of the contest: “I feel happy knowing that I won a prize. Until now I couldn’t express that feeling. I think it’s not an easy contest because it covered various aspects of Vietnam ranging from politics, to economics, trade, culture, and society. I think other listeners share my viewpoint. Anyone who participates in a contest should be serious and spend much time and effort on it. It will be for me an unforgettable memory.”
