At the signing ceremony, the Committee’s permanent office said it will provide to VOV information about socio-economic development, culture, religion, building the political system, regional unity, and coping with climate change in the Mekong River Delta. VOV’s Director General Nguyen Dang Tien said the station will reserve more time and space for information related to the steering committee’s activities: “We think this signing reflects VOV’s role in implementing three breakthroughs in the Party and State’s strategy: building institutions, developing resources, and constructing infrastructure. VOV and its staff will coordinate with the Steering Committee for the Southwestern Region to implement the strategy. Moreover, I think we have two additional key tasks: to increase the value of agricultural products and to preserve the Mekong River Delta culture.”
