Vietnam has finalized legal corridor for family management. Movements and plans of action on education of morale, exemplary parenting and virtuous and gentle children have been carried out all over the country. Through the movement of building a healthy lifestyle in residential areas, the number of families who observe traditional and modern norms is on the rise. Building families for happiness, advancement, equality and sustainability plays an important role in poverty reduction and settlement of social problems. This year, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has launched a variety of programs to cherish traditional family values. Deputy Minister Dang Thi Bich Lien said: “This year’s main topic of family-related work is “Building prosperous, progressive, happy, equal and sustainable families”. A series of activities have taken place in different places, culminating in a ceremony on June 26. From provincial to grassroots level, family clubs organize forums, discussions, family meals, and performances, receiving an unanimous response from society. A festival of Vietnamese family has also been held. Attention is also paid to disseminate information on family traditions in Vietnam”.

Vietnam commits further efforts to prevent domestic violence and gender inequality, particularly in remote and mountainous areas.
