In recent years, traveling during the New Year holiday has become popular in Vietnam. Many people are already making plans to travel during this year’s 3-day holiday. Googling “new year tours” and you’ll find hundreds of destinations for traveling and relaxing. Sapa, Pu Luong-Thanh Hoa, Da Nang, Con Dao and Phu Quoc are the most popular. Nguyen Thi Tien Hao, Director of Phuong Nam Sun Travel says Da Nang is the top choice again this year. “Da Nang is the most popular destination in Vietnam at this time of the year. It’s easy to go to Da Nang. Tourists can go there by air, train and bus. There are various services on offer there including tours of mountain, sea and historical relics. Service and food prices are reasonable while local people are hospitable. Cyclo drivers are especially enthusiast and they act like professional tour guides”, said Ms Hao.

From in Da Nang, tourists can go to Hoi An ancient town, My Son holy land, Ba Na a mountain, and My Khe beach. For those who want to escape the cold in the north, Da Nang is an ideal choice during the New Year holiday. Those who want to dress warmly against the cold can visit Sapa. “Sapa is the highlight of any trip to Vietnam’s northwest. The primitive culture of Sapa’s ethnic minority people has been preserved making the town a favorite destination for foreign tourists while domestic tourists, like Sapa for its pure air, delicious food, and unique cultural tradition”, added Ms Hao.
Dedicated to tours of exploration imbued with Vietnamese characteristics, Viet Vision Tourism Company is offering new tours this year in Pu Luong- Thanh Hoa. Trinh Thi Ha who works for Viet Vision’s marketing department says: “You should walk around Pu Luong to discover its beauty and the local Thai ethnic people. The landscape in Pu Luong is very romantic so it will take you 4 or 5 days. On the first day, tourists can spend the night in Mai Chau and then on the second day, walk from Mai Chau to take a boat along the Ma river. After that, they can walk 18 km through the forest to spend a night in Huou hamlet, near which there is a beautiful waterfall. This area has received many European tourists, who come for the terraced fields of Kho Muong and tehstilt houses of Thai ethnic minority people. Pu Luong also has reserves of wild animals. If you like adventure tours, you should spend few days there”.

Le Quang Dao, the Company’s Director says Russian tourists prefer tours of the central region. “Quy Nhon has a beautiful beach and cool weather like Nha Trang.
