Ha Long Bay in the late 19th century

(VOV) - For the first time Quang Ninh province has exhibited photos featuring the absolute beauty of Ha Long Bay in the late 19th century and the early 20th century as part of the ongoing Ha Long Carnival 2014.

These pictures taken by French photographers were sorted out from a photo collection on Ha Long Bay by teacher Doan Thinh and his son architect Doan Bac.

The collection shows the beauty of Ha Long Bay in pristine condition in the early 19th century that captivated visitors and photographers alike.

Ha Long Bay has been recognised by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site.
