(VOVworld) - 10,000 security forces will be deployed in Phnom Penh to ensure security and public order during the Water Festival from November 5 to 7. Governor of Phnom Penh Municipality Pa Socheatevong said the City Hall will use all means to ensure security and safety for visitors during the festival.

The Water Festival, which marks the Tonle Sap River's annual change of direction, is the largest annual festival in Cambodia. The festival’s highlight is a boat racing on the Tonle Sap River. Around 3 million Cambodians, mainly from rural areas, will gather in Phnom Penh to enjoy the festival.
