19th meeting of Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform convenes
(VOVworld)- The Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform held its 19th meeting in Hanoi on Saturday to discuss a number of draft laws relating to judicial activities.
In his address, President Truong Tan Sang, Head of the Committee, stressed the revisions of the laws need to specify Party guidelines and State policies and be in line with the Politburo’s resolutions and conclusions on judicial reform strategy and the 2013 Constitution. President Sang said that the revisions need to address shortcomings in the realization of laws and procedural activities in compliance with international commitments to which Vietnam is a signatory. Sang said that it’s important to ensure the human rights and citizen’s rights and promote the anti-crime struggle.
