Strikes occurred in at least 36 countries on Sunday to protest the Monsanto Company. Monsanto is a Biotechnology grant which produces genetically modified organisms (GMO) and Genetically Modified Foods (GMF). GMO and GMF research has not won many fans, despite a huge lobbying campaign. Monsanto continues to ramp up production of GMO and GMF with very little government oversight. During the Vietnam War, Monsanto provided Agent Orange dioxin for the US army, the total cost of which in  human health is not yet known.
