(VOVworld) – Vietnam’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh and Cambodia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs Samdech Sar Kheng co-chaired the 9^th conference on Vietnam-Cambodia border provinces’ cooperation in Phnom Penh on Wednesday.
Both sides agreed to enhance ministerial cooperation, implement border trade deals, speed up border demarcation and marker planting, and organize more people-to-people exchanges.

Prior to the conference, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh paid a courtesy visit to the Speaker of the Cambodian National Assembly Samdech Heng Samrin. Mr. Minh said Vietnam and Cambodia will discuss measures to enhance multi-faceted cooperation, particularly in economics. He asked the Cambodian National Assembly to support Vietnamese expats to stabilize their life and do business in Cambodia.  

Mr. Heng Samrin expressed his pleasure about the bilateral cooperation. The two leaders said that activities to celebrate the 50^th anniversary of diplomatic ties will promote bilateral friendship and cooperation.
