A Vietnamese heroic mother is given medical check-up

(VOVworld) - Activities are getting underway across the country to mark 65 years of the Martyrs and War Invalids Day on July 27. In the Northern Province of Nam Dinh, free check-ups and medicine distributions have been organized for policy beneficiary and poor households, the elder, and victims of Agent Orange Dioxin. In the first day, 20 sets of gifts worth 24 USD each were presented for disadvantaged households and 500 policy beneficiaries were provided with medical treatment and consultancy in Nghia Hung District. In the northern provinces of Ninh Binh and Hoa Binh, a get-together was held to honor those who have done well the care for families of martyrs and for war invalids. Visits and gifts giving to local Vietnamese heroic mothers and policy beneficiaries have also been organized on this occasion.
