An array of activities to mark the CPV’s 85th anniversary

(VOVworld) – To celebrate the 85th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City’s authority and Fatherland Front held on Sunday a ceremony to confer the title of “Vietnamese Heroic Mothers” on 288 mothers.

Ho Chi Minh City’s Youth Union organized a performance reviewing the history and development of the Communist Party of Vietnam over the past 85 years. On this occasion, 85 outstanding young Party members were honored for their contributions to national construction and defense. Tran Thi Chinh is an honoree. “I’m very happy and proud. The acknowledgement has motivated me to contribute more to society and improved my political stance.”  

Ho Chi Minh City’s Party Committee granted the Party membership medals of 70 years, 65 years, and 60 years to 286 Party members.

The Communication and Education Commission of Ho Chi Minh City’s Party Committee held an exchange on Saturday with the participation of senior and new Party members. Party member, senior revolutionary, Le Huy Quyen, said: “All issues should be implemented under the Party leadership. I hope young Party members to uphold the revolutionary spirit of their predecessors to fulfill any task.”

An exhibition entitled “85 years under the Party’s flag” opened at Trang Tien exhibition house in Hanoi. More than 100 photos and documents featured the milestones in the Party’s development history.

The Party Committee of the Vietnamese Embassy in India held a meeting Saturday to mark the CPV’s 85th anniversary.
