(VOVworld) - The Vietnamese Embassy in Laos and the Laotian Defense Ministry will jointly open an exhibition on the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail in Laos from 1961 to 1975.

The exhibition was to celebrate the 55^th anniversary of the launching of the West Truong Son road. Colonel Saisamone Xalapxen from the Laotian Defense Ministry praised the significance of the West Truong Son Road in the national liberation of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia: “The exhibition praises contribution and valuable support by the Laotian Party, army and people in Vietnam’s national liberation and unification. It illustrated the special relations between Laos and Vietnam in national liberation, comprehensive cooperation in national construction and defense.”

The exhibition has 80 photos by battlefield journalists and will open next Monday.
