(VOVworld) - 'Clarin', Argentina's largest daily newspaper, on Saturday ran an article, praising achievements and future development prospects of Vietnam's agriculture.

According to the report, Vietnam will be one of the 12 member countries to benefit from the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement and in the next decade the sector will gain a growth of 11% with export revenue rising 28%.

Vietnam, the world second largest rice exporter, had a growth output of 25% during the 2000-2014 period thanks to the expansion of cultivation acreage in the Mekong River Delta and the application of intensive farming.

The newspaper predicts that with the TPP, Vietnam will likely enjoy tariff exemption over rice exports to member countries and an opportunity to attract foreign direct investment, specifically from China in garments and textiles and sport equipment.
