Armenian government prioritizes a peaceful resolution

(VOVworld) – According to Russian news agency TASS, Prime Minister of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan said Thursday that the government is doing everything it can for a peaceful resolution to stabilize the situation in the capital of Yerevan following an attack at the building of the Patrol-Guard Service Regiment.

He said the ongoing occupation and armed seizure is impermissible and should be condemned because a real change can’t be achieved through violence.

The same day, the Armenian police press service reported that 51 people were injured, including 29 police officers, and 140 people were arrested following Tuesday’s clashes between police and protesters in Yerevan.
