(VOVworld) - An art performance and exchange titled “Songs of Happiness” was held Thursday in Ho Chi Minh City to mark International Day of Happiness March 20. Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Huynh Vinh Ai said this year’s event calls on every family member to preserve traditional cultures and moral values to maintain their own happiness, and that of their family and the whole society. In addition to various art performances in praise of grandparents, parents, and peace, the program’s participants had a chance to talk with 2 families in Ho Chi Minh City who have made outstanding contributions to national construction and defense, and to activities in support of disadvantaged people.
Initiated by the United Nations in 2012, International Day of Happiness is celebrated annually on March 20 to honor happiness for everyone in the world, calling on them to join hands to ensure happiness and prosperity for people worldwide.
