(VOVworld) – Bac Giang province held a ceremony on Sunday to celebrate the recognition of Bac Giang city as a 2nd class urban area.

Over the past decade the authority and people of Bac Giang city have made significant changes in all aspects and obtained an average growth rate of 17.5%.

Politburo member and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Nguyen Thien Nhan, addressed the meeting: "The Party Committee, authority, and people of Bac Giang have focused their resources on fulfilling set socio-economic targets. The provincial staple commodities have been promoted to join regional and national distribution networks."
On this occasion, Bac Giang city was granted the Independence Order, the 3rd Class.
