On the 71st anniversary of the UN Charter, Ban said UN member countries have put in place some solid foundations to empower women, engage youth, and uphold human rights for all. He said humanity has entered an era of sustainability with a global commitment to fulfill the promise of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Paris Agreement on climate change. The UN highlighted concrete actions people can take to help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
