(VOVworld) - Bangladesh President Abdul Hamid arrived in New Delhi  Thursday on a 6-day visit to broaden bilateral ties. According to the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, Hamid will meet with Indian President Pranab Mukherjee, Vice President Hamid Ansari, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, and other senior leaders. Hamid is scheduled to visit places of historical and cultural importance in and around New Delhi.

Hamid's visit comes at a time when India is pushing for a Land Boundary Agreement (LBA) with Bangladesh.
