(VOVworld) – Binh Thuan province celebrated 20 years of Binh Thuan tourism day on Saturday. The event honored individuals and organizations, who had contributed to the province’s tourism development over the last 20 years.

The province received 53,000 visitors in 1995 and the figure has increased to 4.2 million so far this year. Nguyen Thanh Tam, Vice-chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, said: “The 13^th provincial party congress considers tourism a spearhead economic sector. We are trying to turn Binh Thuan into a national sea sport tourism center.
