The book is a collection of Vietnamese folklore and legends compiled by Alessandra Chiricosta, an expert on Southeast Asian culture, and Maurizio Gatti, a specialist on East Asia and Southeast Asia. The authors said the book helps readers understand the way Vietnamese people perceive the world, the Vietnamese character, and the uniqueness of Vietnam’s rich culture.
