(VOVworld) – President Tran Dai Quang has called on the court sector of Vietnam and Singapore to continue expand cooperation and strengthen judicial reforms  to meet the needs of the current situation.

The President received Chief Justice of the Singapore Supreme Court Sundaresh Menon in Hanoi on Friday. He applauded  the two supreme courts’ signing of a memorandum of understanding on bilateral cooperation, saying that the deal marks a new development of the two court systems. He suggested that the two sides should form a joint working group to direct the implementation of reached agreements. The Singaporean chief justice voiced his wish that through the memorandum of understanding, the court sector of the two countries will foster their ties.
