Brexit doesn’t break UK economy

(VOVworld) – Inflation, unemployment, and consumption indexes released recently in the UK have proved that Brexit hasn’t broke the UK economy yet as some worried. All indexes have even showed that it’s on the rise regardless of the British pound degradation and downing housing market.

The employment rate in the second quarter was up to 74.5%. Retail sales rose 1.4% in July following a 0.9-percent decrease in June. Tourists had taken advantage of the drop in sterling to enjoy themselves a little more on vacation.  Inflation rate was 0.6%, the highest level recorded in 20 months, but still under the estimate of 2% by the Bank of England. The housing market was plunged in July but will soon recover, according to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
