CPV delegation attends international seminar in India

(VOVworld) - A delegation from the Communist Party of Vietnam led by the Head of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations Hoang Binh Quan attended an international seminar on the Legacy of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first Prime Minster, in observance of his 125th birthday.

The seminar in New Delhi, India, from November 17-18 honored the historic contributions of Prime Minister Nehru, who was considered an architect of Indian democracy and the modern Indian State and a leader of global influence. He was also a co-founder of the Non-Aligned Movement with ideological foundations initiated by him, principally on freedom, peace, democracy, equality and altruism. To mark the occasion, the Vietnam delegation paid a courtesy visit to Indian National Congress Party President Sonia Gandhi. The delegates discussed global issues with officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the People’s Party (BJP) and sought ways to enhance Party relations with officials from the Communist Party of India (CPI) and the CPI-Marxist party.
