(VOVworld) – Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper dissolved Parliament on Sunday, and calling for a general election on October 19.
The announcement, which opened Harper’s campaign to seek a fourth term with a focus on resolving the slackness of the Canadian economy, came after a meeting between Prime Minister Stephen Harper and David Johnston Governor General and Representative of Queen Elizabeth II.
