(VOVworld) - Chinese ambassador to Vietnam Kong Xuanyou has been awarded Vietnam’s insignia For Peace and Friendship Amongst Nations, recognising his contributions to Vietnam-China relations. Vu Xuan Hong, President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations, conferred the honour on the outgoing Chinese Ambassador at a ceremony in Hanoi on Thursday.
Hong reviewed major milestones in Vietnam-China relations, partly attributing the current close ties to Kong’s significant contributions.The Chinese diplomat pledged to support China-Vietnam relations in whatever position he may hold in the future.
