(VOVworld) -  Jose Ramun Machado Ventura, Second Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), received Tran Quoc Vuong, member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam and head of the General Office of the Party’s Central Committee, on an official visit to Cuba at the invitation of the PCC. The two leaders shared experience on the political-ideological work of parties, fraternal bonds, and current international issues. Mr. Ventura suggested both sides further discuss measures to boost cooperation in economics, trade, investment, and support each other at international forums. Vuong reiterated the Vietnamese Party, government, and people’s support for and solidarity with Cuban people. On this occasion, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee's External Relations Commission, Nguyen Tuan Phong, and deputy head of the International Relations Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Jorge Arias, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on exchanges and cooperation between the two Parties.

Tran Quoc Vuong headed a Vietnamese delegation to participate in the Second Theoretical Workshop between the two parties held at the headquarters of the Central Committee of the PCC the same day.
