Connecting Vietnamese, South African businesses

(VOVworld)- Vietnamese Ambassador to South Africa Vu Van Dung has said that Vietnam wanted to boost cooperation with South African businesses and promote the two countries’ tourist potential.

At a meeting with the Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Monday, Mr. Dung said 2017 is the APEC Year in Vietnam which will feature 200 events including the APEC Summit to be held later this year. Vietnam will organize a number of economic-trade forums to boost economic connectivity and promote regional and global economic growth. Dung said this will create great opportunities for Durban and Vietnamese enterprises to strengthen cooperation with those in the Asia Pacific region. Marketing and Communication Director of DCCI Alta Keyter said that in the near future, DCCI will update information on Vietnamese products, tourism, trade fairs, and exhibitions on its news bulletins and will exchange with the Trade Councilor of the Vietnamese Embassy to increase South African enterprises’ understanding of the Vietnamese market and products.
