Netanyahu also blamed President Obama’s administration for neglecting Israel’s national interests, saying that the deal wouldn’t stop Iran owning nuclear weapons.
Despite praise from hawkish US senators, Netanyahu’s speech has drawn criticism from the democrats. US House Minority leader, Nancy Pelosi, said that Netanyahu’s speech had insulted the intelligence of the US regarding threats posed by Iran and its commitment to preventing nuclear proliferation. EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini said that Netanyahu was “spreading fears,” saying that she was committed to a comprehensive nuclear agreement between Iran and the P5+1.
