Cuba and US resume direct flights
(VOVworld) – On Saturday, Cuba and the US reached an agreement to resume direct flights between the two countries.

According to Cuba’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the agreement will be officially signed on Tuesday in Havana, Cuba. Washington announced the plan to resume commercial flights to Cuba in December 2015, one year after the two countries normalized their relations. With this agreement, Cuba hopes to attract great number of American tourists to the country.
So far, 5 US’s airlines including American Airlines, United, Jet-Blue, Southwest and Delta have shown their interest in Cuban market. There are around 20 flights from the US to Cuba every week.
