Deputy PM Pham Binh Minh hold bilateral meetings at 71st session of UN General Assembly

(VOVworld)- On Saturday, in New York, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh MInh met Argentinean Foreign Minister Susana Mabel Malcorra, during which he reiterated Vietnam’s respect for comprehensive cooperation with Argentina, Vietnam’s top partner in Latin America.

The two sides agreed to increase delegation exchanges between sectors, localities and enterprises in the near future. At a meeting with the Presidents of the External Relations Commissions of the Italian Senate and Lower House Pier Ferdinando Casini and Fabrizio Cichito respectively, Minh congratulated Italy for becoming a member of the UN Security Council in the 2017-2018 term. The Italian leaders praised Vietnam’s dynamic development and said Vietnam continued to be an attractive destination for Italian businesses. In regard to the East Sea issue, they supported the need to maintain peace, stability, freedom, security, and safety of navigation and aviation in the East Sea and settle disputes through peaceful means on the basis of international law including the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea.
