(VOVworld) - Vietnam’s Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh is paying an official visit to Sweden on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties. On Friday, Ninh met with the Parliament Speaker, held a working session with the Minister of Trade and North European Cooperation, and officials of the Foreign Ministry, and received representatives of Sweden’s leading business groups.

On Thursday, Ninh met with Acting Governor of the Central Bank of Sweden Kerstin Af Jochnick and Minister of Financial Markets Peter Norman. Ninh expressed his wish to receive support from the Swedish government, especially in developing the financial market.

Ninh called on Sweden to continue encouraging its businesses to invest in Vietnam and do more to speed up negotiations on the Vietnam-EU free trade agreement and recognize market economy regulations for Vietnam.
