Deputy PM meets new Brazilian, Russian ambassadors

(VOVworld) - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh met the new Ambassadors of Brazil and Russia in Hanoi on Thursday.

At the meeting with Russian Ambassador Vnukov Konstantin Vasilievich, Mr. Minh expressed his belief that the diplomat’s experience will help him contribute to the Vietnam-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership and coordinate with Vietnam in implementing signed agreements.

While meeting with Brazilian Ambassador Marco Antonio Diniz, Deputy PM Minh called for Brazil’s recognition of Vietnam’s market economy, and asked Ambassador Diniz to work with Vietnamese agencies to design feasible cooperation programs which match the needs and potential of each side.

Mr. Minh expressed his hope that the new Brazilian Ambassador will help to organize the third session of the inter-governmental committee and a political consultation between the two foreign ministries.
