Deputy PM stresses the importance of international law for a stable environment
(VOVworld) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh has said international law is
necessary to ensure a stable global environment, therefore, the compliance with international law is a prerequisite to maintain sustainable peace.

Minh was speaking at a discussion of the G20 Meeting of Foreign Ministers in Bonn, Germany on Friday. He stressed ASEAN’s central role in building a secured environment in Southeast Asia, saying ASEAN’s solidarity and consensus has proved to be an effective tool in address challenges, including land and sea territorial disputes. He called on G20 countries to continue supporting ASEAN’s central role in the region. The Deputy Prime Minister also highlighted the role of Vietnam as host of the APEC Year 2017, who is determined to boost agenda connectivity between APEC and G20.
