Russian Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying that the deal on Iran’s nuclear program will positively impact on the Middle East’s security. Turkey welcomed the initial agreement between Iran and world powers and expressed the hope Tehran would go further by the deadline for a final deal at the end of June. Speaking to a press conference in Vilnius, Lithuania, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu expressed his expectation for a consensus on the general framework of a final agreement before June 30th. He emphasized that Turkey opposes any nuclear weapon in Iran, Israel, or in any country.

Meanwhile, the Israeli government’s spokesman Mark Regev said that the framework agreement is “a step in a very dangerous direction”, accusing Iran of seeking an atomic weapon. French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said the tricky issue of when crippling sanctions on Iran would be lifted was “not yet solved”.
