A senior Palestinian official said Monday that Hamas, who controls the enclave, will accept the deal if Israel agrees. He added that all parties involved will discuss disputed points within the next month. Another senior Palestinian official said Egypt is likely to invite the Palestinian and Israeli negotiating teams to return to Cairo in 2 days.

A previous ceasefire collapsed last Tuesday when Egyptian mediators were unable to bridge the gaps between the two sides. Hamas said any long-term ceasefire must include the construction of an airport and the halt of the blockade around the Gaza, while Israel demanded that Hamas disarm. This demand was refused from the beginning.
