Exhibition on Hoang Sa, Truong Sa archipelagoes opens in Binh Duong province

(VOVworld) – Documents, artifacts, and publications, which are legal and historical evidence of Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos, are being showcased in the southern province of Binh Duong. On display are 65 maps published in Vietnam and Western countries from the 17th century till now.

The event, which runs until Saturday, intends to raise awareness among all Vietnamese people, particularly the younger generation, of patriotism, national unity, and their responsibility for national defense.

Also on Tuesday, the Vietnam Fatherland Front committee in Hanoi raised 2.2 million USD for those living on Truong Sa archipelago. Head of the committee Vu Hong Khanh said the donation demonstrates the love and responsibility of Hanoians to the soldiers and islanders on Truong Sa.
