(VOVworld) – Syria peace talks will be held on Thursday in Geneva, Switzerland, said UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura.

At the Munich Security Conference on Sunday, he hailed the achievements of the Syria talks held by Russia and Turkey in Kazakhstan. He stressed that a ceasefire cannot be maintained for long without political measures, so the upcoming Geneva talks will focus on reliable and comprehensive political solutions.
