Government gears up efforts to achieve this year’s socio-economic targets
(VOVworld) – The government will exert greater efforts during the remaining months of the year to achieve this year’s socio-economic development targets. At a regular government press conference on Thursday, Minister and Head of the Government Office Nguyen Van Nen said the Prime Minister has called for efforts to be focused on removing difficulties for business production, the disbursement of public investment, and mobilizing capital resources for development investment. The Prime Minister also stressed the need to increase transparency in administrative reform.

Minister Nen also touched on aviation safety, following a number of recent aviation incidents. Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai asked the Ministry of Transport to conduct thorough inspections to ensure aviation safety. Concerning Vietnamese workers in conflict areas in Libya, Minister Nen said Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has urged measures to ensure the safety of the workers including a 24-hour hotline to deal with any contingency.
