(VOVworld) - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung chaired the government monthly meeting for January in Hanoi on Friday, where cabinet members discussed this month’s socio-economic development, and the implementation of a government resolution on key development tasks and solutions for the 2014 state budget estimates.
In his opening speech, PM Dung pressed for additional solutions to remove business barriers and stabilize the macro-economy against fluctuations in global oil prices.
Dung asked cabinet members to devise ways to improve the business climate, increase competitiveness, and accelerate the pace of agricultural restructuring, “new-style rural area” construction, and credit institutional reform.
Mr. Dung also called for preparations to help people enjoy a safe and healthy Tet holiday.
Meeting participants also discussed a tax exemption policy for goods traded in border areas, a draft decree on officials of Party, State and social organizations who are too old for re-appointment and a draft resolution on attracting and training young scientists through 2020.
