(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung chaired the government’s monthly meeting for August on Monday. A report by the Ministry of Planning and Investment shows that the macro-economy has been stabilized; exports have increased steadily; social security has been ensured; and political and social order has been protected.

The meeting, on Monday and Tuesday, will discuss managerial measures for the remaining months of the year and look towards next year’s socio-economic development.  The government will also assess the budget implementation, public investment plans from 2016 to 2020, national target programs from 2016 to 2020, and the equitization of state-owned enterprises since earlier this year.
