(VOVworld) – The Vietnamese Party and State always take care of war invalids and families of martyrs, said National Assembly Deputy Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong. Ms. Phong paid visits and presented gifts to families of war invalids and martyrs in Hanoi’s Ba Vi district on Saturday as part of activities to pay tribute to war invalids and families of fallen soldiers for their contributions to the national liberation.


She added that this also contributes to promoting Vietnam’s fine tradition of remembering the source of the water we drink. During her visits, she voiced her hope that war invalids and families of fallen soldiers will uphold their patriotism and further contribute to national development. She also urged the local authorities to devise timely policies to support these people to escape poverty and enjoy better living conditions.
