HCM city’s exhibition marks 70th anniversary of August Revolution and National Day

(VOVworld) – An exhibition featuring the triumph revolutionary spirit of the August Revolution and National Day opens in district 1, HCM city on Sunday.

HCM city’s organizing board of major festival said 50 photos on displayed in Nguyen Hue street cover revolutionary milestones including the establishment of the Communist Party in 1930, the August Revolution, and the formation of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in 1945, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. In Dong Khoi – Nguyen Du street, there are 30 photos about HCM city’s socio-economic development 40 years since the war ended.

Pham Thi My Le, a local resident, says: “I’m very proud and happy. Our country has overcome countless hardship to gain independence and development as today. Young people must always remember our ancestors’ teaching of protecting national territorial integrity.”  
The exhibition will close on September 5.
