Adressing the meeting, Phong said Ho Chi Minh City welcomes Dutch investment in food processing, food hygiene, waste treatment, and the building of a smart city. He thanked the Netherlands, particularly Rotterdam city, for assistance in climate change adaptation, water resources management, and flood prevention.
Mr. Marten emphasized that their similarities in geographical features and development challenges offer cooperation opportunities for Vietnamese and Dutch governments, localities and enterprises. Past cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and Rotterdam city makes a good foundation for Dutch enterprises to share their experience in high-tech farming, smart city building, and aviation.
