(VOVworld) – Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City’s Party Committee Le Thanh Hai has applauded the achievements of the youth volunteer campaigns over the past 15 years.

At a ceremony in Ho Chi Minh city on Sunday to review 15 years of volunteer campaigns, Mr. Hai said one of the most urgent tasks for the Youth Union today is to educate the youth about revolutionary ideology, morality, and a cultural lifestyle. The youth volunteer campaigns should be expanded to wider and in more areas of Vietnam.

At the ceremony, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union launched an emulation campaign to mark the 85^th anniversary of the Vietnam Communist Party, the 40^th anniversary of Vietnam’s Reunification Day, and the 70^th August Revolution, and welcome Party congresses at all levels. National volunteer awards were presented to 11 outstanding collectives and 5 individuals on this occasion.
