The agreement to swap land lots of one country’s sovereignty located in the other country’s territory has resolved territorial issues of 4,000 km of border line and the identification of 52,000 residents along the border.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheik Hasina Wajid signed a historic deal in Dhaka on June 6th to swap 111 Indian enclaves for 51 Bangladeshi ones. The deal will bring a new life to residents of the border enclaves who had lived stateless for years.
