International Lawyers Association concerned about China's actions

(VOVworld) – The International Association of Democratic Lawyers (IADL) has severe reservations about China's actions which have adversely impacted the international situation, said IADL President Jeanne Mirer on a recent working visit to Vietnam.

At a yesterday reception for the IADL President, Deputy Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City’s People's Committee Le Thanh Liem thanked Ms. Jeanne Mirer and her association for actively supporting Vietnam in many issues like pro-Vietnam stance of settling disputes in the East Sea over the recent past and protecting the legitimate rights of the victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin. Jeanne Mirer said she and her association deeply concern the recent developments in the East Sea, adding that this has impacted on international maritime safety and security. She said the association’s involvement in the international seminar on the East Sea is designed to contribute its voice for the peaceful settlement of disputes in the interests of the two peoples and for the sake of peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the globe.
