French newspaper, L’Humanite, said the US isolationist policy towards Cuba failed because it was criticized by many countries. The EU said the US policy has violated international trade law and the EU has been negotiating normal relations with Cuba. James McGovern, Senator of Massachusetts State of the US, has called on the Obama administration to remove embargo against Cuba over the last 52 years.
At the UN General Assembly meeting on October 28, 188 of the 193 member countries voted to approve a resolution on the need to lift economic, trade, and financial embargo against Cuba.
