(VOVworld) – The International Conference on Geo-Informatics for Spatial-Infrastructure Development in Earth & Allied Sciences (GIS-IDEAS) opened on Sunday at the University of Da Nang, with the participation of 150 experts, researchers, and lecturers from universities and research centers from Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Germany, and Australia.

The GIS-IDEAS 2014 focuses on application of GIS, Remote Sensing, GPS and Geo-informatics Education to address issues related to natural, social and human environment. The 3-day seminar is an opportunity for participants to share experiences and seek cooperation opportunities in ICT application for sustainable development.
