The Belarusian President said a series of cooperative projects will generate new impetus for the two countries. Belarus will boost the negotiation of a Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the Customs Union.

Belgium’s Euro Presse Images online newspaper ran an article on the Vietnam-Russia relationship during Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong’s visit to Russia. The article quoted Russian President Vladimir Putin as saying that the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan and Vietnam were finalizing negotiation for the signing of a Free Trade Agreement. Vietnam would be the first nation to sign the agreement with Russia.

Le Soir and La Libre newspapers highlighted Russian President Putin’s statement that the two countries have agreed to increase agricultural exports to Russia. A Free Trade Agreement between the two countries will create more opportunities for development.
